Sarkin Samarin Zango Ankara “Alhaji Salim Yerima Ango” Receives Honorary Citation By “RAYS”

Sarkin Samarin Zango Ankara His Royal Highness Alhaji Salim Yerima Ango honored the invitation of the Rethinking Africa Youth Summit campus tour, as Guest Speaker at a leadership and entrepreneurship seminar at UPS in Accra.  His presentation was mainly focused on encouraging young people to inculcate a sense of honesty and integrity as the most essential character in building their future. With a leader of his caliber and a well presentable charisma, we can boldly say that the future is bright and our youth are also in safe hands. 



He was also honored with a citation by the organisers of the event in recognition of his effort at advancing the cause of young people in the entire Sabon Zango Ankara Community. The youth has always been his major concern and therefore he has promised to lay down measures that will help create lots of opportunities for the benefit of future generations. This is just the beginning of an untold story of the beacon of hope in Sabon Zango Ankara. May his reign be long because we can attest to the fact that there’s been massive transformation within this short period.

Brief History Of Dosso, Niger 🇳🇪

Dosso was founded in the second half of the 18th century by the Zarma ruler Garanké as his capital where he established the rule of the Zarmakoy (the Zarma rulers of Dosso). This was the highest level of political administration and justice. The rulers of the surrounding Zarma areas had to pay homage to the prestigious Zarmakoy of Dosso. From 1820, Dosso found itself in constant armed conflict with the Fulani Sokoto Caliphate. In 1830,  Zarmakoy Laouzo died in a battle and was succeeded by Gounabi who was shortly deposed by the Sokoto Caliphate. Dosso remained for several years without a Zarmakoy under the rule of Usman Dan Fodio's Sokoto Caliphate until 1850 when Zarmakoy Kassom took over.
