​ The Damba festival is celebrated by the chiefs and peoples of the Northern, Savanna, North East and Upper West Regions of Ghana. The name Damba is in Dagbani and the festival is celebrated in the Dagomba lunar month of Damba, corresponding to the third month of the Islamic calendar, Rabia al-Awwal. Damba is celebrated to mark the birth and naming of Muhammad, but the actual content of the celebration is a glorification of the chieftaincy, not specific Islamic motifs. Greater Accra Zabarma Chief Meets With The Zabarma Community In Tamale

​ An historical event took place yesterday evening at the Sakasaka area in Tamale between the Greater Accra Zabarma Chief(Sarki Alhaji Pro Umar Tanko) and the Zabarma Community In Tamale. It  was a moment full of fruitful interactions and majority of the Zabarma people were there in their numbers to witness the awesome presentation of  His Royal Highness. It was also a golden opportunity for some of the people especially those who have always wanted to meet His Royal Highness in person. The Imam of the Zabarma Community in Tamale played a key role during the organization of the program. They took the opportunity to express their concerns about their situation in this region with regards to the registration of Identity Cards because they have always been victims of ethnocentrism. Greater Accra Zabarma Chief Attends Funeral Of Late Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila At Tamale

​ The Sarki Zabarma of Greater Accra upon invitation as the special guest of honor was present to witness the complete funeral rites of the late Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila. Upon the arrival of His Royal Highness, the “Tugu Yepalsi Palace “ was the first place he visited accompanied by his abled entourage to witness the giving of “COLA” to the new “TUGU YEPALSI NAA“ Alhaji Aminu Mobila (Eldest son of late chief). Sarkin Zabarma Of Greater Accra(Sarki Alhaji Pro Tanko Umar) Tours Northern And Brong Ahafo Region

Sarki Zabarma of Greater Accra (Sarki Alhaji Pro Tanko Umar) embarked on a working day tour to the Northern and Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. Several visitations were made and a coronation by His Royal Highness together with his abled entourage. His Royal Highness arrived in a grand style and was given a befitting arrival by the people of Tamale. The coronation of the Tamale Zabarma Chief(Sarki Alhaji Muniru Alhassan)was part of the main agenda which a Durbar was held in honor of His Royal Highness which got massive attendance and they were entertained by wrestling as part of the activities for the day.        Furthermore, His Royal Highness together with the Tamale Zabarma Chief and his entourage paid a courtesy visit to Gukpe Naa Alhassan(Tamale Naa) at his palace.
